Challenge
How do we make consumers feel safe using an unknown driving product?

Background
Automatic is a connected car service that gives drivers confidence behind the wheel. It uses an adapter that easily installs and blends into a driver's car. The adapter then pairs and syncs with their phones to assist drivers and their loved ones in feeling safe through features such as crash alert, real-time location, and driving insights. Automatic’s product is not well-known though and marketing needed to educate while enlightening its consumers.

Outcome
Simplified, lifestyle-focused digital and print marketing dedicated to empowering the average driver.

Working closely with the marketing team at Automatic, I designed social advertising and printed marketing collateral that exemplified Automatic's distinct driving brand.

Gone Digital
We used welcoming lifestyle imagery and affirmative messaging that embodied the wide array of Automatic users—from teens, parents, the elderly, and business travelers—to create a series of sponsored ads across various social media channels. Each ad focuses on Automatic's values, including safety and assurance, to appeal to people without getting overly technical. Additionally, we did our best to communicate positive content that wouldn't emotionally bombard consumers with safety and security concerns.

See It In Print
Printed marketing materials were created for dealerships to advertise Automatic's service to potential new customers. Many of these prints not only served to market Automatic, but also acted as educational supplements. As many customers don't return to their dealerships after their car purchases, it was vital to show how using Automatic will improve a dealership's experience with its customers in communication and returning service visits.
